I have been a slacker in using the web 2.0 tools for lots of reasons, but, I have decided that the time is now! The technologies are easy to use, easy to teach and we better get on board the digital wave because this current generation of learners is moving much faster that we ever imagined.

I am scrambling to learn about avatars and Second Life. I think it is the future of professional development. As the teen grid evolves it will begin to have potential for learners to connect from all over the world. hopefully there will be some teachers along to STEER.

Digital story telling is too cool. and affordable for schools. lots of free tools. we just need time. and I believe the tools will be so engaging that students won't mind working on their stories at home...so we have extended the day without really trying.

I am going to try to write every couple of days about what is going on in my classroom. I'd love feedback.
